Sweater with Rose Embroidery

Red roses shall rain on you!  At least, as far as this cuddly oversize sweater with turtle neck is concerned. The queen of all flowers is attached with Kitchener stitch after finishing the sweater in stockinette stitch.

The NORVIKA yarn by ggh is made from 30% Norwegian wool, 20% alpaca, 30% acrylic, 13% organic polyamide and 7% polyester and is inspired by light, cheerful Scandinavian colors. This yarn makes for a robust yet soft and lightweight model. The 13 % organic polyamide are made from renewable raw materials. The sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch so even though its an oversize sweater it will be worked up quickly.   

Embroidery will be done with CUMBA yarn by ggh, a mixture made from 42% pure new wool, 28% alpaca and 30% polyamide which is perfect for embroidery with its round thread and the wide-ranging color chart for refined nuances. Embroider with Kitchener stitch which basically traces the stitch pattern – its laborious and takes a lot of time.  Thank god embroidering is soothing and meditative which calms down a lot of people. And the result is definitely exciting and spectacular!
The yarn leftovers from embroidering is enough to decorate the bag with rose pattern from Rebecca #80 model 33.

Additional materials: Double pointed needles (dpns) size EU 5–6 mm [US/CAN 8–10, AU 5–6] as well as circular needles 40cm long size EU 5–6 mm [US/CAN 8–10, AU 5–6].
